Cooking Class Santa Monica: Vegan Soups and Stews


Vegan Soups and Stews - Sunday, Feb 24

Before it starts to warm up in Santa Monica, let’s make some soups and stews to get through the last few weeks of “winter.” Soups and stews are great for entertaining or for everyday dinners and lunches. Plus, they store and freeze well without losing flavor so you can make the most of your time and ingredients by cooking in larger quantities.
In this hands on soups and stews class, you’ll:
  • learn to make three types of vegetable stock utilizing different cooking techniques; 
  • prepare made from scratch soups and stews using alternative and vegan ingredients; 
  • practice your knife skills; and, 
  • gain the experience and confidence needed for creating your own recipes for the seasons. 

Be sure to RSVP early, as the class is limited six students. A smaller group means more hands on learning and personalized attention from Chef Christine.

Creamy Garlic Soup with roasted kale chips: made without the heaviness of dairy
Moroccan Style Chickpea Stew: a hearty one pot meal great for dinner or lunch
