Veggie Fixation Announces Personal Chef Services

I am thrilled to announce that Veggie Fixation is expanding its services. Encouraged by the wonderful clients I have encountered, I am now offering personal chef services on top of catering and cooking lessons. By hiring me for personal chef services, you’ll have the benefit of home cooked meals designed specifically to your tastes, without any of the work. Regardless of whether you want meals packaged and left in the fridge for later, or if you want to have the whole family sit down to dinner one night a week, Veggie Fixation will help you save time in your busy schedule.

Here is a little background on how Veggie Fixation came to be. I started cooking as soon as I was tall enough to reach the stove. When I became the only vegetarian in my family at the young age of 15, I started to further develop my culinary skills since I was pretty much responsible for making my own meals.  Cooking was always something I loved, but not something I ever thought of doing professionally. However, in 2009, after doing a little soul searching, I came to realize that I was at my happiest when I was cooking, and feeding and entertaining people. The light bulb went off. I attended Bauman College in Berkeley, CA to earn my natural chef certification.

After finishing culinary school, I put up my website, veggiefixation.com, to begin to generate traffic so that when the time came to get things rolling, I would already have a web presence. Fresh out of culinary school, I set out to build my experience and my reputation, and was thrilled when Sarasai Yutuc hired me to be the cold line prep cook and lead baker at Cafe Flourish, a small plant based cafe in the Miracle Mile area of Los Angeles.  In addition to my day job at Flourish, I also got introduced to Molly and Dave Anderson of Madeleine Bistro and had the honor of working with them for a handful of catering gigs, including the PETA holiday party.

I was having so much fun cooking that I started to offer to do it for friends, and they took me up on it. I began preparing food for their small parties, making lunches and dinners, and was conducting private cooking lessons for friends interested in learning about my favorite kitchen tips and tricks.

By late 2010, I was doing regular cooking demonstrations at my neighborhood Whole Foods and started to take on clients (outside of my circle of friends) for intimate dinners, cooking lessons and small party catering. Last year, business started to pick up and this year, I've been even busier.

I've prepared private five course sit down dinners for 2 to 12 guests; catered brunch and cocktail parties for 25; taught people with little to no skill in the kitchen to comfortably prepare a meal for themselves; and helped inspire a 70 year old to get healthy so he can live to see 150.  It's been a blast working with all of my clients and so fulfilling to be doing what I love and sharing that passion with others who are benefiting from it.

I am looking forward to continuing to prepare healthy and delicious plant based meals for the clients I am currently working with and to meeting new people with whom I can share  my wholesome and innovative food.

If you are in the Los Angeles area please save my information and pass it along to others who may be interested in my services:
