Wheatless Wednesday: SunFlour Baking Company Brownies

I have found love. Love in the form of a dense, chewy, chocolaty brownie. I met this brownie as a new product sample at the Sun Flour Baking Company booth at WorldFest a couple weeks ago and it was love at first bite.  In an instant, I knew we'd be going home together that afternoon.

It was just too good to share. I tried to save some. I failed.
First, a good vegan brownie is hard to come by. Trust me. I've tried just about them all, and attempted to bake a few as well, with limited success. A good gluten free, vegan brownie is even harder to come by. Back in my pastry chef days at Cafe Flourish, I did bake an excellent gluten free brownie; it was crumbly and rich and chocolaty, a bit on the cake side as far as brownies go in texture. Until now, I didn't think any other brownie could compare. However, Sun Flour's brownie has won my cravings. I have always been a fan of the chewier, more fudge like brownies and these are the brownies that are so hard to achieve in vegan form. I feel like all this time, I've been settling for inferior brownies. Don't get me wrong, I still cherish that Flourish brownie recipe, but Sun Flour now has a special place in my heart.

Now, if only I could find a way to replicate that consistency at home... Until then, it's nice to know that fudge brownies are just a click away.

To try Sun Flour Baking Company's new brownie, Order Online, and check out some of their other products while you're there.

I've had the pleasure of sampling Sun Flour's products at a few different events and I've enjoyed everything thing I've tried. Until the brownies, I can't recall trying any of their other gluten free items, but the regular cookies are fantastic if you can have gluten. I'm a big fan of shortbread and theirs is divine; a perfect buttery, melt in your mouth treat in multiple flavors.

I look forward to sampling and discovering new products of theirs in the future!
